This series is meant to display “a range of personal autonomous options and advanced connected vehicle features” — but that’s a load of marketing waffle. I’m excited about the InnerSpace concept car because it looks like a fucking spaceship. Let’s feast our ground control eyes on these Major Tom images: I love it. Look at that panoramic glass roof. Just imagine staring at the sky during nighttime driving. And I’m not at all freaked out how it looks like the offspring of a frog and a Ferrari. Interestingly, when the doors open the roof also opens upwards and the seats pivot outwards. It reminds me of a freaky space bug now. The InnerSpace is also fully autonomous and, according to Cadillac, is designed to offer “personal and tailored experiences to the passengers.” Whatever that means.  It features AI-driven biometric input and interfaces, accessible via a large, immersive SMD LED display, which allows passengers to select from Augmented Reality Engagement, Entertainment, and Wellness Recovery themes for their drive. Just like the two previous concept vehicles of the Halo Concept Portfolio, the InnerSpace is electric. And while there’s no information on its motor or battery capacity, Cadillac says that it features GM’s Ultium Platform and has a wireless power management system, in which the battery modules are spread about the concept vehicle, allowing for a maximized interior space.  Unfortunately for us, it’s very unlikely that the InnerSpace or any other of the concept cars will ever reach production, but if this is Cadillac’s vision for the next decade, as the company claims, I’m willing to wish away a few years. In the meantime, let’s conclude this article by watching the InnerSpace in action: Mmm.
