Well, Google did commit to its promise. Starting yesterday, Android users are able to use the ChargePoint app on their Android Auto compatible vehicle. To do that, they only need to connect a phone running on Android 6.0 or above, and to download the app from the Play Store. That’s great news for EV owners, as their car’s infotainment system will directly display all the charging information they need. Using this app, drivers can find nearby stations on the map, check compatibility with their EV, begin a charging session, and monitor available spots and waiting times. They can even filter nearby stations by speed, availability, and cost. This way, ChargePoint’s integration into Android Auto offers an easy and effective tool for electric mobility.
